Gathering Workshops in Spotlight: Small Church Unity in a Divisive Culture

Gathering Workshops in Spotlight: Small Church Unity in a Divisive Culture

We are less than a month away from the 2018 National Gathering, and over the last few weeks we have been highlighting some of this year’s workshops.

During one of our workshops, Craig Kephart, Executive Presbyter of Washington Presbytery in southwest Pennsylvania, will be presenting, Coal Patch Gospel: Small Church Unity Within a Divisive Culture. Southwestern Pennsylvania’s density of Presbyterian congregations has known its share of division in these times. Amid all of that the good news of Christ – and of unity in Him – still shines through in the small churches of shuttered steel mill towns, former mining communities, and rolling farm lands where solitary church buildings sit at back road intersections. Together we’ll look at some keys to the spirit of unity and Christian ministry in congregations of this “fly over” region.

Join Craig Kephart, Dr. Mark Labberton, Rev. Harvey Drake Jr., Dr. Chad Pecknold, and many more at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Ga. February 20-22.
