Orlando Conference Schedule

Orlando Conference Schedule

The full schedule for the Orlando Covenanting Conference (January 18-20) has been finalized. The Orlando Conference schedule, with the speakers and their topics as well as break-out sessions, is available here.  In addition to six main stage speakers, there will be 18 breakout sessions on a wide range of topics including “God’s Design for Human Sexuality,” “Justice: Our Biblical Mandate,” and “Doing Mission in Our Changing Context.” We will also offer sessions on the health and benefits plan for the new Reformed body, plus in-depth looks at the Polity and Theology documents.

The three-day conference includes worship in five different styles of praise and celebration, a prayer room open throughout the conference, and 22 exhibitors. More than 2,100 people are registered to join us. We look forward to gathering to learn, fellowship, and worship in Christian community as we find a new way forward in ministry and mission.

This looks great. I was under the impression one of the seminars would discuss ‘Union Presbyteries’. Will that be covered in the polity seminars?

These look like some wonderful topics for discussion. I was expecting a few more practical elements as well. Not sure what is required to officially form a new body, but do we need to vote to adopt the polity and the theology documents. Also, my elders want to know things about medical benefits and pension plans if we join the New Reformed Body. Will any of these things be on the agenda as well?

Eric, Click on the full schedule and you will see the workshop topics about pension, medical etc.

  3. Yes, please… the idea of forming (re-forming) into a “union presbytery” is of great interest to us in SW Pennsylvania. Hope we can give some time to that?

Looks like an exciting time ahead!
2 questions on totally different aspects…
    1) The choir singing for worship Thurs. night… Is it a professional group or…? Or could attendees join? If so, how or who do we contact?
    2) Will there be a specific time for info about FoP in contrast to EPC? Or about any communication between these 2?

Thanks! We are looking forward to this adventure!
