Thank you for posting each of the keynote messages on the web. It helps greatly to communicate with our church what happened in Orlando.
I wonder if you could also post the video of Laura Smit and Jerry Andrews? Their description of the Theological Tenants was moving indeed.
In process. We’ll have it up ASAP.
One question I have had since attending the Orlando conference is in regard to the name Evangelical Covenant Order. I am assuming that thought was given to how closely it resembles the Evangelical Covenant Denominational name. Could anyone comment on the leadership’s thoughts regarding the close similarity of the names and has anyone consulted with the Evangelical Covenant to see how they feel about our new name?
It is impossible to come up with a name that is not close to something else. The PCUSA and the PCA are two letters apart.
The Evangelical Covenant Church and the Evangelical Covenant Order of Presbyterians are clearly distinct and, yes, we are in conversation between the two.
We would like to be able to show John Ortberg’s video to our congregation as it explains the current situation so eloquently, dynamically and succinctly without pointing fingers. But the only way is to use the streaming video. Is there anyway we could actually download the video file for showing at a later time while not connected to the Internet?
Instructions for downloading the presentations can be found on the Vimeo site.
I just spent three hours trying to download the Ortberg video onto my computer so that it can be shown without connection to the internet. When I select the download option on the Vimeo site it does not give an option to save the video–it simply plays the video. I joined Vimeo, downloaded something called VideoSavenger, all to no avail. Do you have copies of the DVD for purchase? I would like to hand DVDs to each of our session members.
Hi Rebecca, sorry for the problems you’ve had. Vimeo has a great help page that addresses the very problem you reference. They suggest you try “right-clicking” on the link so you can opt to save it or download it, as opposed to just playing it. You can see the Help page here: http://vimeo.com/faq#howtodownloadsourcefile
We do not have DVD copies for purchase. We made the file open-source so it can be downloaded and burned to DVD by everyone. Check out the help page and we hope that helps.
Is it possible to get recordings of the outstanding music from the conference? Per chance is there a CD?
Copyright laws prohibit us from recording the worship services.
Any chance of getting video of the musical portions of the worship service? My musicians would love to see/hear what the fantastic folks from Orlando offered us at the conference!
Oops–I meant “services.”
Thanks for your response. I have tried the right-click suggestion. It does not give me the option of saving or downloading the video. Has anyone else had this problem? I will keep trying.
