Gathering Spotlight: Trip to Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Center
At this year’s National Gathering at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Ga. we will have a unique opportunity to travel to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site. Because of his role as the leader of the Civil Rights Movement, we forget that he was a pastor and church leader first. What can we, as modern day church leaders in a time of great division, learn from King’s legacy? Today, as the nation remembers this important leader’s birth, let’s not forget the great mission to which we are all called.
Check out the video below to hear more about this excursion and the role it will play in our conversations at the Gathering.
